Quick Gun Murugan - Entertaining I say!

A Review of movie Quick Gun Murugan!

Have we changed? Changed the way we used to make films, rather bollywood films? Perhaps yes and maybe for the better! How else would you expect a movie to be made which is as "original", "fresh" & "innovative" as Quick Gun Murugan?

The Hero of the film makes you laugh even without making a gesture or cracking mediocre jokes. He simply stands still & utters his dialogues...

"Earth is my bed. And the Sky is my ceiling"
"Leave the Ladies. I say" (uses the word ladies even for a single lady)
"I vaant to go byack" (dies & wants to go back on earth)

The Plot:

The fight is between the cowboy Quick Gun Murugun (played by Rajendra Prasad) & the Rice Plate Reddy (played by Naseer), who first wants the entire village to be served with non-vegetarian meals & in the later half to create the ultimate non-veg dosas.

Phew! His past-life lover, locked in his "locket" (played by Anu Menon) & present-life lover Mango Dolly (played by Rambha) helps him come closer to his enemy.

Well as in the case of heroines, even the enemies are from the past, "Gun Powder" (played by Shanmugha Rajan) & present "Rowdy MBA" (played by Raju Sundaram) they both rock!

Q.G. Murugan's brother & sister-in-law living in the "little south India of Mumbai" - Matunga, ignorantly help him come closer to his enemy.

And hey Quick Gun also visits the "heavens" & meets Chitragupta (played by Vinay Pathak) who helps him go back to earth. And all this happens in a span of 25 years albeit a reincarnation.

As it always happens in the end (remember if it's not happy, it's not the end) the Hero wins over the Villain so does our Quick Gun Murugan.

It's not the story nor the plot, it's the execution of the film that keeps you on the edge of your seat (well done Shashanka Ghosh). If you have a film to watch on the cards, you probably can't miss this one - Quick Gun Murugun!

And yeah as the Quick Gun always says...

Go waatch it, I say.
Yenjoy it, I say.
Comeback & let me know if you liked it too.
Mind It! I say.

P.S. Well I got to watch this movie for free. As Priyanka who won the movie tickets for a couple, from Channel [v] India invited me! Thanks, I say!

BJP expels Jaswant Singh over book on Jinnah

Jaswant Singh expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for writing a book on Mohammed Ali Jinnah - “Jinnah, Partition and Independence”. BJP seems to be in no mood to tolerate ambiguous ideology being promoted by its leaders. But then the party president LK Advani was not expelled from the party for calling Jinnah secular.

"During Vajpayee's (Atal Bihari Vajpayee) time I was seen as the Hanuman, today I have become Ravana," said pained Jaswant - reports CNN-IBN.

For those who don't know, Jaswant Singh has been a member of BJP since the day the party was formed. Does taking such stringent actions on the former union minister and current member of parliament, for a book that he wrote in his personal capacity is warranted for?

Also was this the foremost agenda of the BJP which began its three-day introspection meeting or rather 'Chintan Baithak'. While the Congress is conducting meetings to discuss 'drought' situation in India.

Farmers are dying due to Drought.

Common man is fearing for life 'cause of Swine Flu.

And political parties are expelling their leaders for writing a Book.

Well it happens only in India...
